Have you ever stopped to consider the cost of waiting? It’s a common misconception that waiting is a passive, unproductive experience. However, the truth is that it often costs more to rush ahead than to wait on God’s perfect timing.
As you wait, remember that you’re not waiting on man; you’re waiting on the Almighty God. This is a wait worth having! Don’t let anyone or anything cause you to miss the move of God.
Instead of focusing on the clock, fix your eyes on the Creator of time itself. Consume more of God’s presence, Word, and wisdom while you wait. This will equip you to be prepared and familiar with God when He shows up – and He will show up!
Our God is a God of suddenlies. He can turn things around in an instant. When He does, the time you waited will become irrelevant. It’s not about what you’re waiting for; it’s about who the Deliverer is.
Whatever you’re waiting for today, remember that God is faithful. When He suddenly appears, you’ll realize that the wait was worth it.
Reflection Questions:
- What am I waiting for today?
- How can I consume more of God’s presence and wisdom while I wait?
- What are some ways I can trust God’s timing and plan?
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that You are worth waiting for. Help me to trust Your timing and plan, and to consume more of Your presence and wisdom while I wait. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
