From Waiting to Receiving

Have you ever stopped to think about the incredible impact your beliefs can have on your life? What you believe about yourself, your circumstances, and God’s power can either propel you toward greatness or hold you back in mediocrity.

In the Bible, we see Jesus repeatedly emphasizing the importance of faith in receiving what we ask for. Time and again, He says, “Go, your faith has made you whole” (Madailythew 9:22, Mark 5:34, Luke 8:48). These words remind us that we have a vital role to play in receiving what we’re asking for. Our part is simple yet profound: to believe until we receive.

The Bible assures us that what we ask for is ours the moment we ask (Matthew 21:22, Mark 11:24). So, why do our prayers sometimes seem to hang in the balance? Often, it’s because we’re asking God to do what we can do ourselves. We must be careful not to wait for God to do what He’s already empowered us to do.

Today, remember that God is your strength and way maker (Psalm 23:3-4, Isaiah 43:16). When you believe this, you’ll dream bigger and bolder. You’ll recognize that God is not just a distant observer but an active participant in your life.

So, don’t find yourself waiting for God to move when He’s actually waiting for you to take the first step. Do what you can, when you can, and trust that He will give you the strength to accomplish the rest.
