The Power of Choosing God

The Power of Choosing God

Have you ever stopped to think about why we often find ourselves believing lies or half-truths? Today, I want to share a profound insight with you: our willingness to entertain a lie is often birthed from our unwillingness to entertain the truth.
It’s easy to get caught up in the idea that believing in God is enough. But the truth is, believing God and engaging God are not the same thing. God wants more than just our intellectual assent; He wants our hearts, our minds, and our souls to be fully engaged with Him.
When we choose to engage God, we open ourselves up to His protection and provision. Psalm 91 says, that God protects us from dangers seen and unseen. But how often do we choose to live life on our own terms, only to run to God when the consequences of our choices arise?
God wants us to choose Him in every season, not just when things get tough. When we choose God by default, we deny the enemy the opportunity to deceive and destroy us.
The good news is that choosing God is not complicated. It’s not about trying to earn His love or favor; it’s simply about surrendering to His will. As the Bible said in the Book of (2Corinthians 9:7), “God loves a cheerful giver” But I want to add that it’s when we give to God – our hearts, our minds, our souls – that we receive the most.
Without God, we are nothing. But with God, we have everything – just by association! So let’s make a conscious choice today to engage God, to choose Him in every season, and to surrender to His will.
May God bless you and give you a deeper understanding of His love and presence in your life.
